Guest speaker for Supercell spouses on thriving through change

Client: Relocation Psychologists (pro bono) Role: Public speaker

When moving to Finland in 2022 I attended a workshop at Supercell. Since then I have been invited two times to speak about my experience of change when moving with my family to Helsinki. My goal with the lectures has been to empower and equip people to best take on the challenges that it means to find the feeling of home in a new country.

“What really stands out is how open and warm Emmy is. People naturally gravitate toward her because she is so easy to approach and kind in every interaction. What makes a difference is her honesty, empathy, and a readiness to help and listen. Emmy is always well-prepared, but also totally comfortable going with the flow when things don’t go as planned. If you get the chance to work with Emmy, take it - you’ll walk away having learned something, laughed a little (or a lot), and feeling like you’ve made a real connection.”

Suvi Hannus, Relocation Psychologists

“I have had the pleasure of
collaborating with Emmy in training programs we have conducted for Supercell Spouses. Emmy is a delightful and engaging person to work with - genuinely warm-hearted, empathetic, and cheerful. She has a remarkable ability to connect with people authentically and honestly, she communicates with great skill, and expresses herself in a clear and approachable way. Thus, Emmy has been an invaluable part of our training programs.”

The future of museums

Client: Kultur Österbotten Role: Project leader, Moderator

I planned, hosted and moderated the museum days in Vaasa. All museums in Österbotten and some from the capital area gathered for fascinating discussions about the future for museums, AI and digital collections.

During my own talk I described the world trends within digitalization at museums and raised the most central questions we need to ask ourselves when we create experiences for our target groups.

Lecture tour with former minister of equality

Client: Miljöpartiet & Metoouppropen Role: Public speaker

As head of the board of Metoouppropen I went on a tour with the former Equality Minister of Sweden Alice Bah Kunhke and initiator/lawyer/CEO Caroline Snellman, talking on the subject of learnings from organizing the Swedish #metoo-movement and the future. We visited Sweden’s top 5 universities.

Building better cities

Client: Flemmingsberg Science Role: PR consultant

I planned and led a two-day study trip to Berlin for our client, Flemingsberg Science, hosting a group of around 20 senior leaders. The program included guided visits to coworking hubs, meetings with scientists in urban development, Berlin-based architects, and leading entrepreneurs in city planning. The project combined in-depth research, planning, and on-the-ground leadership.

At Friends Agenda, I worked as a PR consultant, managing client relationships, leading projects, conducting research, pitching to potential clients, and writing press releases.

From commerce to
E-commerce

Client: Swedish Commerce Role: Communications consultant

I analyzed Swedish Commerce's role as a trade federation for actors within e-commerce in a two-phase project.

Phase 1. First, I conducted interviews with CEOs from top Swedish e-commerce companies, such as Eequity, Adlibris and Lekmer, resulting in unique insights from the industry. This resulted in ceveral reports.

Phase 2. Building on our new insights, the second phase focused on the customer journey. I made the management group recreate their costumer journey using post its and pens. Insights helped Swedish Commerce take the next steps towards efficient internal and external communication.

“I am pleased to have worked with Emmy and her team on our costumer journey project. She showed great analytical skills and brought enthusiasm into the workshops. The result gave us insights that were helpful in the development of our internal communication strategies.”

David Abresparr, Marketing Manager Swedish Commerce

Cultivating care

Employer: Årsta Gårds stiftelse Role: Coordinator, communicator

Årsta Gård Foundation runs one of Sweden’s most unique schools for children and youth with disabilities, set in a green oasis where students from kindergarten to high school grow vegetables, keep bees, and care for animals as part of their education.

I began as a classroom assistant but soon took on a central planning role, coordinating daily schedules for over 90 staff members. Each morning started at 6:30 with checking attendance, solving logistical challenges, and making sure everyone was in the right place.

In parallel, I worked closely with the principal and operations manager to refresh the school’s visual identity—writing new web and info copy, and leading a large analogue photo shoot with photographer Gustav Lilliehorn.

Coordinating a grass root movement

Employer: Metoouppropen Role: Coordinator, Moderator, Press contact

During #metoo in Sweden, I co-coordinated a fast-growing Facebook group that supported and connected initiators across labour sectors. What began with collecting testimonies quickly evolved into a network of nearly 70 separate initiatives – from actors and doctors to lawyers and teachers.

As an organizer, I supported spokespeople with media preparation, press releases, and political contacts. I also served as a public face of the movement, giving frequent interviews on live TV, radio, and in national media. The work received several prestigious communication awards, and I was regularly invited to speak at events and conferences.

Brand awareness in sports

Client: Finlands Svenska idrott Role: Analyst,
strategist

Secretary-general Henrika Backlund asked us to investigate their image, brand and values among people in management positions in the organisation. The study was made by me and my CEO Anna Bertills and consisted of about 30 deep interviews and a large report, followed by concrete action points for better, more effective communication. Finlands Svenska Idrott is an umbrella organisation for Swedish-speaking sports federations in Finland and the Åland Islands.

Producing and promoting magical experiences

Employer: Teater Tre Role: Producer, Head of communication

Touring both nationally and internationally, Teater Tre brings wordless storytelling to audiences of all ages across the globe.

As theatre producer I was responsible for planning and executing the company’s productions, from early development to final performance as well as leading all aspects of marketing, communications, and press outreach. I collaborated closely with creative teams, coordinated tours, and built visibility for the theatre’s work both in Sweden and the rest of the world.

The position combined artistic insight with strategic communication, and allowed me to merge production management with audience engagement both on a national and international stage.

"Emmy is a very meticulous, cheerful, and responsible colleague who carries out all her tasks, and more. With broad expertise in communication and design, she developed her role during her time at Teater Tre. Always in good spirits and well liked by everyone."

Sara Myrberg, Theatre Director at Teater Tre
